I've only read the first book and I'm watching the tv series with my mum, who has read 2/3 books. And we're both really frustrated at one specific part of the series. The rest of the tv series is pretty good and I get taking creative liberties when translating a book to tv but WHY TF WASN'T MAX AT THE PARTY SCENE?!

I just don't get it! Why would you take out an important part of the story? It actively harms the writing and the mystery, it makes no sense for sequel potential so it doesn't make sense from a money standpoint, I just..... WHY!!!

AND THEN IT CUTS OF?. I’m assuming that max was found guilty?, did I skip any pages?. I was really happy but I don’t understand do we not get any more content after that or is there a separate short novella of the trial of max Hastings or is that it?.
